STAYING SAFE THROUGH THE HOLIDAYS

At Dale, we remain committed always to protecting the health and safety of the Dale families and our community. With that thought in the forefront, we offer the following considerations to keep ourselves, our families, friends, and co-workers safe from COVID-19 during the holiday season.

The activities of a regular holiday season, such as gathering indoors with family and friends, sharing meals, and traveling, now pose the very real threat of increasing the chances of getting or spreading COVID-19 as infections surge both locally and nationwide. We know that lives are put at risk and transmissions will certainly increase if people gather with extended family and friends for the holidays. The need to take every precaution regarding the ongoing pandemic is essential.

While few things seem better than taking a break from social distancing, taking off our masks and sharing a Thanksgiving meal with loved ones, we must all continue to make safety a priority. The best way to reduce your risk of contracting or transmitting the virus during this time is to limit unnecessary travel during the holidays, stay at home, and limit physical contact with people who do not live in your household. Stay true to the principle safety measures of the pandemic: wear a mask, keep 6 feet of social distancing, wash your hands well, avoid crowds and indoor crowded places, and monitor yourself for symptoms. Remember, some people without symptoms may be able to spread COVID-19.

If you host a holiday celebration, it is advised that you keep it small and only with members of your own household. In-person gatherings that bring together family members or friends from different households pose a very real risk of transmission and infection. If you are considering travel, be aware of the current travel orders in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Click here read more about Pennsylvania’s travel orders. If you decide to participate in a celebration, follow public health guidance. For additional information, please refer to the holiday guidance provided by the CDC.

Please don't forget, we are all in this together! We all must take this responsibility seriously. Stay informed, and remember that all of these efforts are designed to help mitigate exposure to the COVID-19 virus for each of us. Compliance with the guidelines and protocols in place is how we have continued to operate and is critical to maintaining a healthy work environment. We all have a responsibility to do our part to mitigate the virus’s impact and have a safe workplace.

If you have not already done so, the Dale family is also encouraging everyone get the flu vaccine.

As always, if you have any questions about any of the Dale programs or protocols, please reach out to your direct supervisor for any clarification needed.

Last, but not least, Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you for your cooperation, and stay safe.
