LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL

THE PROTOCOLS IN THIS MESSAGE APPLY TO THE CORPORATE OFFICES ONLY! ALL PROJECT SITE REQUIREMENTS MUST BE FOLLOWED, INCLUDING MASKING!

At Dale, we have always prided ourselves on being a workplace that puts the health and safety of our people first.  Throughout the course of COVID-19, protecting our team has meant taking a number of measures including closing the main offices and transitioning to remote work.

With science in hand, including updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, it is becoming increasingly clear that the best way to protect our workplace and our employees as we transition back to a new normal is with the COVID-19 vaccines.  As you may or may not be aware, the vaccines developed in response to COVID-19 have been proven to protect against serious illness from the coronavirus and lessen rates of transmission.  Research and testing have shown that vaccines provide a robust protection against infection from COVID-19, and it has been established that the vaccine itself cannot cause COVID-19. It does not contain the virus at all.

It is for all of these reasons that we urge everyone to vaccinate yourself against COVID-19 whenever possible.

COVID-19 vaccines are important tools to help stop the pandemic, but they don’t mean we can stop taking all precautionary measures.  You will also note an updated question on the daily self-screening form which will inquire as to whether or not you have been vaccinated.  Do not provide any other medical or family history information in response to any inquiries about your vaccination status.  You will not be asked why you did or did not receive the vaccine and the information will be compiled only for tracking COVID-19 related issues.

For those who are fully vaccinated: The general rules and protocols that existed prior to the pandemic will apply with a few exceptions. We will be continuing the daily self-screening program and recommend the use of masks whenever you are in the presence of others who may not be vaccinated or those who are not comfortable with mask removal.  For vaccinated individuals, masking is a personal decision and should be respected without confrontation.

For those who have not been fully vaccinated: The current Guarded Office Protocols still apply while on-site at any of the Dale offices, including wearing a mask indoors while you are in common areas, maintaining appropriate social distancing, avoiding crowds, and cleaning hands often.  Vaccination is a personal decision and individual decisions or reasons are to be respected without confrontation.

For all: Follow current reporting protocols for any potential or actual exposures to COVID-19, including notifying your supervisor and the site pandemic officer. Most importantly, whether vaccinated or not, the principal tenant remains in place: if you are sick, stay home!

We understand some individuals may still have questions about the COVID-19 vaccine.  We recommend visiting the CDC’s page Myths and Facts About COVID-19 Vaccines for more information.

As always, if you have any questions about any of the Dale programs or protocols, please reach out to your direct supervisor for any clarification needed.

Thank you for your cooperation and stay safe.
